Anyway, H-dog is coming along, and should be finished soon. I hope to surprise his owner in a couple of weeks!

Hershey!
Remember Hershey? He appeared in a post earlier this summer. I spent a lot of time, most of it unsuccessful, on the larger canvas, so I decided to work on the smaller of the two. I'll revisit the larger canvas soon, but sometimes I need a some successes to counteract one failure. This is a by-product of my short temper. However, Dear Reader, you should be relieved to learn I no longer throw uncooperative canvases out the window or run over them with my Jeep. My grown-up alter ego often intervenes, resulting in canvases finding themselves temporarily stored in closets until they no longer anger me.
Anyway, H-dog is coming along, and should be finished soon. I hope to surprise his owner in a couple of weeks!

What's on my easel?
I need to schedule reminders to remind myself to update this blog! Perhaps I could get a volunteer to nag me about my neglected blog? LOL
These paintings are of my late grandmother's house and of St. Augustine Church, a mere mile away from the house. Both are special to me, and are commissioned paintings by my father. Since my family moved alot while I was a child, Grandmom's house was the constant in my life; in addition, now that Grandmom is gone, I still feel close to her when I am in this house. The church is also important, as my parents were married there, I was baptized there, my husband and I were married there, and we will both end up there (Yes, I've secured two burial plots in the church's cemetery!). Too much information? LOL!
